The Chapel of the Transfiguration.

One of my favorite places to visit in the Tetons is the Chapel of the Transfiguration near the Moose Junction entrance.There is a huge picture window behind the alter. It is an Episcopal Chapel but open to all.That is the way it should be too. Evelyn and I belong to a great Episcopal Church here in Japser, Holy Family, and I see how the philosophy in the two are so similar. I don’t consider myself an overly religious individual, but instead I do see myself as pretty spiritual. I can not do what I do, walking out and seeing the Creation around me, without believing in a Creator. How can a person not sit in a pew in this Chapel and look out the window and not believe. As I sat and looked around me, I saw people of all ethnic backgrounds, religious upbringings, political viewpoints, but the one thing we had that bound us together was we all knew and believed. We were brothers and sisters at that moment with a common love. Isn’t that what it is supposed to be about anyway? With a common Creator comes a bond, a love if you will, something that could teach us to get along and put the petty stuff behind us.
