The Lazy L&B Ranch

A beautiful day here at the Ranch, no forecast of rain for the first time since we arrived. Very windy, but that makes for some beautiful clouds in the big blue sky. What a beautiful terrain. Now to take some time and chillax on the porch in a rocking chair…

After the Storm.
A short break from the images out west. We had a really good storm the other evening. It provided not only some much needed water but a beautiful pallet of color in the sky that evening as well. As you can see we have moved a few things around in the backyard. The Bluebird house is now closer to The 3 Chairs and there is a decorative “Bee” near the fence. Evelyn has been so successful with the gardens this year we are increasing the number of them. With the bees nearby we have plenty of pollinators to hopefully help provide us with lots of produce straight from our own yard. Our little slice of heaven is an ever changing place. We love it.

A little cloud action…

Another image from yesterday morning at Gibbs Gardens.  When the mornings are cool and calm I try and find an area that I can use the reflections to through some nice color into the sky.  Clear blue skies don’t offer the “drama” I like to have in a sunrise or sunset.  They make for peaceful and serene events but at the same time a little cloud action gives a somewhat negative space a little interest.
Fuji X-E1, 18-55mm lens, Aperture Priority, f11, 4 frame HDR combined in Photomatix and tweaked in LR5 and Topaz Clarity, lens set at 18mm, Vanguard Auctus Plus tripod and BBH head.
