My Tetons of Iceland

My Tetons of Iceland.

My single favorite mountain range in the US are the Tetons, but in Iceland on the Stokksnes Peninsula, it is Vestrahorn. I am fascinated and can’t get enough of them when I am there. It finally hit me why I like them so much. Like the Tetons it is fairly flat, relatively speaking, around them, but they shoot up into the sky standing out in the landscape. Both times I have photographed Stokksnes, it has been windy, so windy I cleaned black sand out of my ears that evening. I know, too much information. I love the black sand dunes and grass growing on the dunes. Without the grass, you again would think it is a black and white image. Such a beautiful place!
