Jimmy’s Kid

Jimmy’s kid.

The most sociable birds in the yard are the Carolina Wrens. “Jimmy”, as Evelyn calls him since his call resembles someone saying “Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy”, along with his mate have had 3 broods this year and are working on #4. It is super entertaining though to watch the juveniles explore and interact with each other. This one landed in front of me on the post and explore the sound of the camera shutter. After getting distracted by a spot on the post, focused on me again before finally attempting to land on the lens! They constantly land near me to see what I am or what I am doing. I love having them up here because they are great at controlling insects!
