Trumpeter Swans taking flight

Trumpeter Swans taking flight.

As we drove out of Jackson Monday headed back to Moose, we saw a large gathering of Swans along the road. Fortunately they were where a pullout was located and we were able to stop and photograph them. As we photographed a few pairs and singles, we heard a ruckus coming from down river. I looked up and saw 2 Swans taking flight. Still low to the water, they flew by. I raised my camera and lens, zooming out as I panned with them, and was able to get probably 10 frames as they flew by me. Several were sharp, but this one had good separation between them and was my favorite image of the encounter.
