Beautiful Patterns

Beautiful Patterns.

Most birds look awkward and strange during the feather molting, but not this one. With Mom being absent this one has sort of stepped up to direct the others with Dad in their feeding of the babies in the nestbox. She seems to sit up and direct and stand guard. She is from the first brood of Eastern Bluebirds this year. I am curious to see how long it will take for all of her feathers to fill in like an adult. Only on her upper chest, back of her head, and shoulders are juvenile feathers remaining. I know Dad is appreciative of her help.
