Summer Mornings on the Mountain

Summer mornings on the mountain.

I’m not a fan of high heat and high humidity, which is what Georgia offers at no extra cost during the summer months. I do like getting out early in the morning and photographing the birds and flowers in the mornings though before the heat kicks in. The coneflowers in our yard are beautiful again this year and are offering great photo ops for me. I wanted to see how the new Tamron 18-400mm lens would do isolating a subject. I opened up to f6.3 at 400mm and isolated one single flower. I am really impressed with the versatility of the lens and will continue to post images as I find new subjects to keep you entertained with as well!
