Mingus Mill

Mingus Mill.

Another location Cecil and I scouted and did a few images of was Mingus Mill. When we arrived it was pretty foggy and raining lightly. Perfect conditions for shooting the mill and rivers. Except for a Crow, we had the place all to ourselves for the 30 minutes we were there. The trees are all filling in with leaves very nicely and by next week it should be full of beautiful green. The conditions will be perfect for our workshop in the Smokys! I wanted to use the leading line of the water in the foreground to direct the attention of the viewer to the mill as well as the water that overflows on the side. I used a circular polarizer turned to just the right amount to keep a little glare on the water while still giving the desired saturation in the foliage.
