The Takeover

The Takeover.

The Eastern Bluebirds used their size and teamwork to takeover the nestbox the Chickadees were attempting to build inside. They hadn’t done a lot inside so they have already moved to the original box the Bluebirds were using. I watched the Bluebirds as they shuttled in materials on one side of the yard as the Chickadees did the same on the other side of the yard. I had to move a bunch of stuff from the corner of the garage to get a good clean view of the Bluebirds nestbox. It is going to be a busy spring and summer with all the drama and it is still March!

  1. Beautiful! What focal length were you at? I ask because if you were at the 600 end then wow you are steady and the VC is amazing. At that shutter speed I would probably have camera shake even with the VC on.
