St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day

My heritage is Armenian, German, and Polish, but today I am Irish. Today is St. Patricks Day, the day when someone turned all the rivers green and served beer all day! Actually it commemorates the day Christianity arrived in Ireland. In High School, I was a Place Kicker for our football team and often when mentioned in the papers I was an Irish kid, David O’Koubian. I used to laugh about it but I know at times it had to bother my Dad. So in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, I am posting an image with lots of green. This is along the Tremont River in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So today take it from an Irish kid, wear your green, sit in your Patty O’Furniture, drink your beer, let’s leave the turning rivers green to the professionals, and may the luck of the Irish bless you today.
