His First Winter

His First Winter.
Now that the rain has returned, so have the Eastern Bluebirds. Mom and Dad have returned with at least 8 of the juveniles in tow. Yesterday morning was the first morning I had to capture a few images of them at the feeders. This is one of the male juveniles posing for me. He will get the rest of the blue feathers this spring. It is so good to see the Bluebirds back in the yard. I have mealworms ready to help them prosper through the winter and hopefully they will all find mates in the spring and cover our mountain with more Bluebirds. The bonus is I am getting to capture images for the 2018 Bear Woods Bluebirds Calendar! The proceeds of course buy the food for these guys and girls.
I am going my Wednesday post here on Tuesday night as I will be out soaring with Eagles tomorrow, well at least hoping to photograph them soaring anyway.
