“Falling with Style”

When I see Sandhill Cranes landing, I always think of the line that Buzz Lightyear had in Toy Story when someone said he is flying. He responded he was “falling with style.” Sandhill Cranes are graceful in the air but pretty awkward when approaching the final stages of landing. They are a big bird with a lot of surface area so it is understandable I guess. One of the best things is the audio you get as well. All the air traffic controllers, the other cranes, are calling out where to land and where to avoid. The Festival of the Cranes is such a great event, you really should consider it next year.
