A Fall Visitor

A Fall Visitor
I have been hearing them, even seeing them, but until yesterday, I had not been able to photograph one of them. Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are headed south for the winter. This year I have heard and seen more than previous years. This one is a juvenile male in that awkward stage of color change. He will be a beautiful adult male next time he flies by in Spring though. I usually don’t put much seed out for the birds this time of year but with these guys coming by in such large numbers, I thought I better help them fuel up for the trip. See you in about 6 months!
