The 3 Chairs Milky Way Panoramic

The other night the skies were clear and crisp, so I decided it was time to do a 5 shot panoramic of the Milky Way over The 3 Chairs. I did a little light painting on the chairs as well. I combined the images in Photoshop CC, then used multiple graduated ND filters in PS to darken the lights of Jasper on the horizon. The images only took about 3 minutes to complete, the processing took about 30 minutes with all the adjustments. This is my favorite time of the year for shooting the Milky Way with the alignment of the “center” over my home town of Jasper. The 3 Chairs sure do have a great view!

Tamron SP 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens on a Canon 5Diii, Manual Exposure mode, f2.8,N3204X tripod and K30X ballhead (the perfect night sky combination), processed in Lightroom CC. #WithMyTamron, #TamronImageMasters, #SiruiUSA
