Fall Whitetail Deer

Fall Whitetail Deer
Yesterday I decided to welcome in Fall with a trip to Berry College hopefully to see and photograph the Eagles. Well, the Eagles decided yesterday morning they were going to welcome in Fall somewhere else. Even not seeing the Eagles, the trip was relaxing and a relief. Listening to all the other birds in the area was neat. Seeing this little 6 point buck wander by eating, really not caring I was there was nice as well. A trip to Berry is always worth the effort.
When I got back to our mountain, I decided to park at the end of our road and take a nice walk along the top. First of all, there is no such thing as level on a mountain. What I perceived previously as flat is really not. There were some really interesting flowers along the road and it made the trip more enjoyable. I will say this though, having Black and Turkey Vultures circling overhead as you walk and following you as you go is a little concerning. The disappointment on their faces was evident when I safely returned to my car.
