Making a Landscape Your Own

My lecture tonight at the Photographic Society of America Conference is titled “Are we there yet”?, a look at trying times traveling with family as a photographer and trying times being a photographer. Hopefully a road map to success with planning is included. Tomorrow, my lecture is “Making a Landscape Your Own”, which examines the idea of taking an ordinary landscape and making it extraordinary. Seeing an iconic landscape and putting an individual signature on it when possible. I talk about the tools available to accomplish this process, but I also talk about finding a place close to home to make your own. For me, it is of course, “The 3 Chairs”. This was an image from back in 2013 on a foggy summer morning. I love my backyard!
