Getting those Adult Feathers

Eastern Bluebird 082416f copy

Getting those Adult feathers.

I mentioned the other day that I could see some of the previous brood mixed in with the new ones. If you notice the area just below the wing on the breast of the Eastern Bluebird, you will notice how it is beginning to molt to adult feathers. Last count was still 10 juveniles hanging around the backyard!

The “Bear Woods Bluebirds 2017” Calendars have been ordered and will be here hopefully within 10 days! On the cover is none other than Spartacus himself! If you are interested they will be available for $18 which includes shipping. If you order multiple take $3 off for shipping on each one above the first. If you would like, I will sign the calendar before shipping as well. You would just need to send me a message and let me know to hold one for you. I will let you know as well where to send the check. Thanks again!
