The Kids

The Kids.

We are up to about 10 juveniles in the backyard now each day, but I haven’t counted today yet. You can see the age differences by the stage of molting they are in at this point. Some of the older juvies have much more color on the breast. I was able to get a few images to show it and will have to post one in the next few days. This is 2 of the latest brood. They looked at me, then each other, then back at me as if to say…”excuse me, we are out of worms.” Of course I filled them up. Thank goodness Tractor Supply has dried worms on sale for $20 for 30+ ounces, not in the bird section but the chicken feed section. And yes that is a big ole Grandaddy Longleg on the bottom right of the log.
