Black and White?

Black and White?
The American landscape is so diverse. From mountains to deserts, we have it all and everything in between. Ansel Adams created so many classic images of the landscape in Black and White as well as color. I am in no way comparing my image to an Ansel though, I just think it is great to convert some images that have that iconic landscape look to BW. Color captures the warmth so well but I think it sometimes loses the size of a landscape. Removing the color sometimes takes away the distractions and allows you to focus on scale and detail. I posted a color image the other day and to me this looks like it captures the size of Horseshoe Bend better. Granted the other one was zoomed in a little more, but I still think this shows just how big the place is a little better.
