Black Bear and Cub.

These aren’t in Bear Woods but they are the Cades Cove cousins! I want to say thanks to all the participants who attended our workshop this past week in the Great Smoky Mountains. We really enjoyed seeing, and getting to know each of you better. That is one of the best things about our workshops, we often have friendships develop that last a lifetime. This common bond and love of nature puts people together that realize they have found someone they should have in their lives. Thank you to Jon and Julie Jeffress for all of their help.

We were treated to observing and photographing many Black Bears this week with one of the best on Saturday evening when mom and her yearling cub walked through some open fields. The folks gathered kept their distance and were treated to a great show of nature by these two. The cub ran to catch up with mom and tripped, rolling over, when it bounced back up it playfully jumped on mom. The crowd gathered actually clapped. Mom and cub wandered off into the woods.
