Departing the Nest

Berry Eagles 031316zd copy

Departing the nest.
I have always wanted to get a good sharp image of one of the Berry College Eagles leaving the nest with the nest in the background to give a sense of place. I was able to do that Sunday finally. The light was good and Mom flew right at me when she launched. I was able to get a nice sequence of about 5 frames, all sharp, which goes back to what I said the other day about AF working best when the light is good.
Tamron SP 150-600mm Di VC USD lens on a Canon 7Dii, Manual Mode, f10, ISO 1600, resulting in a shutter speed of 1/2000th of a second, Sirui N3204X tripod and PH20 Gimbal head, Peak Design strap, Lowepro photo backpack, processed in Lightroom CC. #withmytamron
