Home Again.

I am finally back in Bear Woods. I so enjoyed my time in New Mexico. I can’t say enough about the great folks at the Festival of the Cranes. The Staff, Volunteers and the Crew of the Refuge were top notch! The attendees and sponsors were fantastic. I look forward to next year!

There are things in nature that words or images can not truly convey or describe. One of which is the “lift off” or “fly out” of the geese in the morning. Against colorful skies they just take flight usually without any warning and the sound is incredible. It is deafening actually. To me it ranks right up there with hearing an Elk bugle on a fall morning. Before you vacate this Earth, go to Bosque del Apache and witness the lift off.
