Upper Desoto Falls, Georgia

Upper DeSoto Falls, Georgia

Keeping it local this morning. Last week when I went out to shoot, one waterfall that I have wanted to photograph but had never been to was DeSoto Falls above Turner’s Corner and Dahlonega. After zipping around dodging some rain I ended up there. The storms were clearing for a little bit so I loaded up a little gear and made a quick trip up the 3/4 mile trail. We worth the effort to see a great set of falls. I hiked back down met a nice couple from Michigan. I had my camera covered with a simple plastic bag to protect it from rain while I hiked and they thought from a distance it was a butterfly net! We laughed and talked photography for a couple of minutes. He is an aspiring photographer, who now knows the plastic bag trick!
