Spartacus is Alive and Well!!!

Spartacus is alive and well!!!

Yesterday morning I saw 3 Eastern Bluebirds fly to the trees near the feeder. I watched as the 2 adults landed in the tree tops and preened. The 3rd was lower in the branches. Finally it went a little farther out on the limb…it is Spartacus! He sunned and preened for a little while and then when the female went to the feeder and started to come back to the tree, he began to flutter his wings and beg for food. Mom brought him a few worms and then shortly thereafter they flew off together with Dad. It is only a matter of time before Spartacus comes to the feeders and to the backyard to hunt. It is such a good feeling to see him thrive. I know the image is not a wallhanger but it is one that will hang on my heart.
