Turk’s Cap Lily

Turk’s Cap Lily.

This is a special time of the year up here at higher altitudes in the east. The Turk’s Cap Lily is blooming all over. We are very fortunate to have them blooming along the roadsides and around our mailbox. Incredible lily, about 5 feet tall or so, loaded with orange flowers. Don’t get the idea to dig a few up and transplant them though to your yard. They only thrive in the altitude and soil up here.

Tamron 16-300mm Di-II VC PZD lens on a Canon 70D, Aperture Priority, f6.3, -.7 stops of exposure compensation, ISO 100, resulting in a shutter speed of 1/40th of a second, Sirui R4214X tripod and K40X head, Peak Design Leash, Lowepro photo backpack, processed in Lightroom CC.
