Silverback Gorilla

Silverback Gorilla.

This is the look you get from a gorilla when he realizes you have more grey in your beard than he does. He cheered up though when he saw he had a lot more hair on his back than I did! Actually this guy posed great for everyone and just watched. I do have mixed emotions about Zoo life though. Sadly, the fact that leaving the gorillas and other animals in the wild, we have some people who would poach them. Humans are horrible stewards of the land and environment. We create the problems and some times the cures are just as bad. Support the Zoos though in their efforts to preserve, especially the one’s who strive to make as natural an environment as possible. For photographers it is a win win, a great place to shoot, and the animals get the financial support.
