Pink Ladies Slippers

Pink Lady Slippers.

While in the Smoky Mountains we had a great lead to find some Pink Lady Slippers, a wild orchid, near where I remembered them to be many years ago. We walked and ran into a guy who mentioned a “bunch” of the them. We thought he was nuts. Well it was us who were crazy, when we saw the bunches containing 50 to a hundred probably in each group! It is sad to think some people will never see one in the wild or worse yet, not have even heard of such a treasure.
