The Launch

The Launch.

I went out to Berry College today hoping to get some nice images of the Eagles flying and sunning. I wasn’t disappointed. The light was spotty and came in and out but the birds cooperated when the light was nice. The Eaglettes are just over 4 weeks old now and the adults will be making more frequent visits with food and sticks for bumpers to keep the kids in the nest. This is the female launching from her perch tree in route to check on the the babies.

Tamron SP 150-600mm Di VC USD lens on a Nikon D-800, Aperture Priority, f8, +0 stops of exposure compensation, ISO 400, resulting in a shutter speed of 1/320th of a second, Vanguard tripod and Wimberley head, processed in Lightroom 5.
