God Fingers

God Fingers.

When I was growing up I used to hear these incredible beams of light referred to as “God Fingers”. I have always enjoyed capturing them with my camera. It is really amazing from our point of view up here how they reach down and touch parts of the landscape with light.

Tamron 28-300mm Di VC PZD lens on a Nikon D-800, Aperture Priority, f4.8, 5 frames combined as HDR in Photomatix, Vanguard Alta Pro tripod and BBh-200 head, processed in Lightroom 5.
