Muggy Mornings…

Muggy Mornings…

For the past two weeks or so it has been really hot and muggy when we wake up. Although it is not the most comfortable weather to wake up to, it is great with the dew and/or raindrops left on the blades of grass or daylillies. I really enjoy finding compositions in small landscapes like this. To maximize the depth of field on the drops without adding distractions in the background, you have to get a parallel to the drops as possible.

Tamron SP 180mm f3.5 Di Macro lens on a Sony a7R, Extension tube, Aperture Priority, f8, -.7 stops of exposure compensation, ISO 800, resulting in a shutter speed of 1/40th of a second, Vanguard Abeo Pro tripod and BBH-200 head, processed in Lightroom 5.
